**Responsibilities**:

- Lead technical aspects of projects by providing hands-on guidance and contributing to the development of intricate solutions.
- Collaborate closely with the Product team and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical strategies.
- Mentor and guide engineers, promoting engineering excellence and best practices.
- Oversee the end-to-end software development process, from design to deployment.
- Develop and maintain clean, extensible code that adheres to SOLID principles and clean architecture standards.
- Utilize your strong full-stack experience to work on both web and mobile frontend as well as backend development using JavaScript frameworks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional team members, ensuring timely delivery of features and alignment with engineering estimations.
- Demonstrate strong project management skills, ensuring projects are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies, contributing to the continuous improvement of our technical capabilities.

**Expected Outcome (next 6-12 months)**:

- In the role of Tech Lead at ThoughtFull, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical direction of our projects and contributing to the development of our software solutions. Over the next 6-12 months, you will spearhead the creation and refinement of procedural guidelines, leveraging your technical expertise to streamline processes and ensure engineering excellence.
- You will actively collaborate with the Product team and business stakeholders to understand their requirements, translating them into technical strategies that drive the success of our projects. By providing hands-on guidance, you will contribute to the development of complex solutions and mentor junior engineers, fostering their growth and contributing to the overall excellence of our engineering team.
- As a Tech Lead, you will also lead by example in adhering to best practices, and writing clean and extensible code that aligns with solid principles and clean architecture standards. Your deep understanding of both web and mobile frontend, as well as backend development using JavaScript frameworks, will enable you to actively contribute to all facets of our projects.
- Your strong project management skills will ensure that projects are delivered on time and with exceptional quality. Your commitment to staying current with industry trends and emerging technologies will be essential in guiding us toward technical innovation and continuous improvement.

**Requirements**:

- 7+ years of professional software development experience.
- Profound understanding of the JavaScript programming language, with a focus on UI components and UI development.
- Experience in frontend (web, mobile) and backend development using JavaScript frameworks.
- Familiarity with Elixir, Ruby, or Python is a plus.
- Experience with defect tracking tools and version control.
- Strong understanding of clean architecture principles.
- Excellent project management skills, capable of leading projects with cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to mentor junior engineers and advocate for engineering excellence.
- Prior experience in a mental health tech organization or related field is advantageous.
