Sales Manager

As a Sales Manager, you’ll be at the heart of translating customer needs to our back office and will be instrumental in coordinating larger projects. A significant part of your role will involve regional travel to meet with existing customers and potential leads. With your commercial acumen and technical expertise in our products and services, you’ll be able to provide competent advice to their technical and/or purchasing teams on their ISM requirements. Additionally, you’ll play an active role in exhibitions and/or events that Viking participates in.

**Sales Manager**
**Responsibilities**:
- Participate in the formulation and execution of sales strategies within your area of responsibility.
- Contribute to the creation and implementation of sales processes and concepts, ensuring excellence in both administrative and market aspects.
- Maintaining and growing our customer base (including but not limited to ship owners/managers, shipyards and offshore operators and EPCs)
- Manage VIP, A, B and C customers.
- Promote and sell the company’s products and services.
- Participate in budgeting, setting KPIs, and providing input for products/services.
- Supervises the Sales & Administrative Team at the KL office.
- Monitor team segments’ performance and ensure they meet set targets.
- Prepare and submit management reports.
- Ensure all sales activities comply with company policies and guidelines and contribute to optimal customer satisfaction.
- Maximize sales opportunities and profitability within accounts.
- Uphold and promote the company culture and spirit in line with the company’s core values and Leadership Principles.
- Maintain long-term relationships with customer accounts, plan customer visits, oversee customer feedback, requirements, and follow-up activities.
- Assist in the overall planning, budgeting, and development of direct and indirect marketing efforts to enhance the value of the company’s products and services.
- Preserve brand integrity across all company marketing initiatives and communications.
**Main Functions**:
- Supervises the Sales & Administrative Team at the KL office and all associated personnel.
- Sell and negotiate Ship Owner Agreements and other related products.
- Conduct customer visits.
- Build and maintain relationships with customers.
- Manage all Customer accounts.
- Monitor and ensure that Ship Owner Agreements are performed according to contractual requirements.
- Identify, manage, and report on key accounts’ development and sales projections.
- Create and maintain an overview of the business potential of ship owners and ship management companies in Malaysia.
- Prepare and submit Management reports.
- Maintain the company’s CRM system.
- Monitor contribution margins for increased sales and profitability.
- Gather intelligence on market competitors and report activities to the Senior Sales Manager & Country Director and Head Office.
- Attend local and overseas trade shows, sales seminars, and training as required.
- Perform other relevant functions as assigned by the Senior Sales Manager & Country Director.
