Group Financial Controller

**Summary**:
We are looking for an experienced Group Financial Controller, or Comptroller, to undertake all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory & financial reporting, budget & forecasts preparation, financial risk management, development of internal control policies and procedures.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Managing all finance and accounting operations including billing, A/R, A/P, GL and counsel, cost accounting, inventory accounting and revenue recognition
- Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
- Preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statements
- Familiar with Bursa Listing Requirements and Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards are an added advantage
- Research technical accounting issues for compliance
- Support month-end and year-end close process
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
- Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Liaising with key stakeholders both internally and externally including the
- Comptroller and Auditor General, the external and internal auditors
- Ensuring financial controls are effective and being appropriately applied within the subsidiary companies group
- Responsibility for group taxation affairs and liaising closely with the corporate tax advisers
- Oversee the annual audit engagement with the statutory auditor and external auditor, ensuring audit requirements are met in a timely manner
- Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, company secretary and other professionals to ensure compliance on all matters relating to audit, tax and statutory requirement.
- Manages internal, external and regulatory audit processes and ensures compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), verifying that Company policies are administered fairly and consistently.
- Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
**Job Requirements and skills**:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or qualified Accountant - ACA / ACCA / CIMA preferred
- Minimum of 8 years relevant experience with proven achievement as Financial Controller
- Previous accounting experience gained within property development, ticketing operational industry or hospitality industry is essential;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills,
- Highly organised with the ability to multi-task, resourceful, pro-active, highly motivated and own initiative.
- Excellent analytical, report writing, communication and presentation skills.
- Good problem solving skills, ability to identify issue, access risks and offer solution options.
- Financial accounting and controls in a multi-site / group environment, including managing inter-company transactions.
- Ensuring that an organisation meets the necessary tax, permit and licencing requirements
- Collaborating with an executive team in establishing more effective processes and controls to ensure the integrity of a company’s ledger
- Overseeing all financial control activities, including the review and analysis of monthly and quarterly numbers and disclosures
- Providing executive management with accurate and comprehensive financial information to guide effective policy making and financial strategising
- Summarising budget trends, analysing deficiencies and reporting variances to executives
- Providing external auditors with the necessary documentation and support
- Taking care of tax preparation duties or liaising with external tax accountants for tax preparation
**Salary**: RM17,000.00 - RM19,000.00 per month
