Ensure the operators do an initial check on the printing machine before they start of make ready i.e. check on pressure, blanket, cylinder, roller setting, etc.

2. Issue jobs to presses in correct sequence and to explain / highlight special requirement and quality relating to the jobs.

3.

Approve final sheets of make-readies in terms of quality, folding sequence, etc prior to operators running the job.

4.

Ensure the full completion of the job cards and to highlight / investigate on shortages, if any.

5.

Ensure proper control on the usage of direct materials i.e paper, ink and another consumable.

6. Always maintain the usage of direct materials and consumables to be within limits given as in the job plan and if any excesses are required to ensure that an error report is issued and properly authorized by person/s authorized to do so. Supervisors will be fully responsible in the event of an error report.

Ensure material consumed are reported accurately.

8.

Responsible for ensuring that presses achieve outputs targets in both quality and quantity.

9.

Liaise closely with press operators and shift supervisor to ensure proper communication and workflow. To also complete the logbook and highlight pertinent areas that need to be covered during the change of the shift. This will also include problems, accidents, etc incurred during the shift.

10.

Ensure proper housekeeping.

11.

Be fully aware of all jobs being processed in department including color sequence, extent or number of sections, delivery dates, customer and material used.

12. Ensure that there is full co-operation and teamwork amongst crew. To also liaise closely with the Binding department with regards to workflow and to assist in any problem Binding department may have resulting from poor quality from the pressroom i.e. quality of advances and covers to outworkers.

13.

Ensure good communication and interpersonal relationship amongst supervisors.

14.

Monitor discipline of the department and the whole company in general i.e. late attendance, absenteeism, sleeping while on duty, non-compliance to the rules and regulations and to work closely with HC Department to institute whatever disciplinary actions required pursuing to the department.

15.

Ensure that wastepaper and plate are properly stacked, strapped and kept at designated places.

Ensure proper authorization and approval of overtime in the Press department.

17.

Ensure that all machines and electrical switches water supply and other utilities are switched off the day before the rest day.

18.

Provide a safe environment and the safety features on machines are check on regular basis.

19.

Ensure proper preventive maintenance on machinery is carried out on a weekly basis and supervisor are held fully responsible for breakdown resulting from non compliance of carrying out this maintenance.

20.

Ensure the retrieving and approving of sign sheets are based on agreed number of running sequence.

21.

Involve in cross-training within the Press department.

22.

Any other task assigned by superior from time to time.

**Salary**: RM1,900.00 - RM3,400.00 per month
