Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

**Company Overview**:
We are a fintech start up in Malaysia, with UIUX as its fundamental sell point. The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will play a crucial role in planning, implementing, and managing our technology roadmap, ensuring our company remains at the forefront of innovation in the IT and fintech sectors.

**Position Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Based on the CEO and founders' strategic directions, develop and execute the organization's technology strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business goals and objectives.
- Incorporate emerging IT and telecommunications trends into the company's strategic direction, keeping up-to-date with industry developments and competitive landscapes.
- Lead and manage the technology team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Review and evaluate existing technology infrastructure, systems, and processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
- Drive product development initiatives, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality solutions.
- Oversee the company's cybersecurity measures, ensuring the protection of data, systems, and client information.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including executives, to define and prioritize technology initiatives that support operational efficiency and enhance customer experience.
- Manage vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring efficient delivery of technology services and products.
- Lead technology-related projects, providing guidance and support to project teams, monitoring progress, and ensuring timely completion.
- Develop and manage the technology budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and efficient cost control measures.
- Promote a culture of innovation, driving technology-based solutions to enhance productivity, increase efficiency, and create a competitive advantage.
- Stay abreast of advancements in technology, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements, evaluating their potential impact on the company's operations.

**Qualifications**:

- Worked in silicon valley start up previously
- . Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role, such as Chief Technology Officer or a similar position, in the IT and telecommunications services industry.
- Exceptional knowledge of IT and telecommunications infrastructure, systems, and emerging technologies.
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies, network architecture, cybersecurity, and data analytics.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute technology strategies, driving transformational change and achieving business objectives.
- Track record of successfully delivering technology projects on time and within budget.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and manage a diverse team.
- Sound business acumen and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to think strategically and evaluate complex technology solutions.
- Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements relevant to the IT and telecommunications industry.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
