**THE OPPORTUNITY**

We are looking for a Malaysian-qualified associate to be part of that team by joining our Kuala Lumpur office. Whilst this role is based in Kuala Lumpur, this associate will be expected to work closely with colleagues not just in Kuala Lumpur but in Singapore, Hong Kong and Jakarta as well on a variety of finance transactions for our regional and international clients.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Asia finance practice, to be part of an international multi-cultural firm and to support the existing team in:

Working on general banking and finance transactions as well as aviation and asset finance matters;
- Collaborating with our colleagues across other practice areas on multi-disciplinary deals;
- Directly interfacing with clients' legal and business teams;
- Working closely with other offices and local counsel across the Asia Pacific region and the rest of our international network.

**SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS**

To be successful in this role, you will need:

0-4 years post-qualification experience in Malaysia;
- Malaysian law qualification;
- Strong banking and finance experience (and, ideally, some knowledge of aviation and asset finance and/or Islamic finance);
- An excellent command of English (spoken and written);
- An ability to communicate ideas confidently and attention to detail;
- Excellent academics;
- Strong work ethic and a flexible approach to working hours and travel;
- In addition, Bahasa and/or Mandarin language skills will be highly desirable.

Whilst our lawyers may be located across a number of locations (Hong Kong, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Jakarta), the Asia finance practice works and operates as a team; and we pride ourselves in offering our clients a seamless service.
