**Aufgaben**

**Purpose of the Position**:
The create and implement a strategy in Malaysia for business development and operational excellence in line with the overall company strategy for the airfreight business unit. The person will have high independence in scaling the product, but is expected to fully execute and drive the growth in alignment with the MD, regional offices and global airfreight product management. You will build relationships and understand customer business in order to develop the airfreight product from its current smaller state to reach our plans of building a product which is to same size and standard as our oceanfreight unit. You will align with sales department and help build a solid product to sell to customers, defining where we can create value to achieve business development objectives.

**Key aspects of activity**:

- Manage and lead the development of the airfreight business unit in alignment with company strategy 2030.
- Rate procurement and carrier relationship management.
- Build solid relationships and drive negotiations with co-loaders, airlines and other relevant business partners.
- Develop and implement a sales strategy for airfreight business in Malaysia and align with budgets.
- Establish and develop customer relationships and maintain and develop an own portfolio/pipeline of airfreight customers meeting and exceeding volume and GP targets.
- Collaborate closely with the Leschaco network to develop airfreight business volumes..
- Develop external and internal SOPs and manage new business implementation.
- Continuously supply the management with data/reports related to airfreight sales, performance, market activity.
- To handle tenders/RFQs and develop customer solutions.
- Develop and execute budgets and development plans.
- Develop and manage KPIs.

**Additional functions**:

- Update relevant customer data/reports in CRM (Salesforce).
- Represent LSMY Airfreight and align with global product management.
- Collaborate with other departments.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Managing Director.

**Profil**
- Academic degree, fluent in English, competent with typical IT tools
- 10 years experience in freight forwarding/logistics, ideally with a focus on airfreight.
- Min 5 years in airfreight management and customer facing roles
- Leadership skills to build-up, develop, motivate and manage a business unit and team.
- Strong communication and commercial skills.
- IATA certifications are a plus.
