Quality & Compliance Manager

**Reports to : DC Manager**
Reporting to the DC Manager, the Quality & Compliance Manager is overall responsible for understanding and implementing the quality management requirements of the customer and the business. The individual is additionally accountable for the consistent performance of the quality team in progressing towards pre-determined agreed KPIs and targets
**1. Supply deviation**
- Supervise and monitor the activities of the Quality Support individuals in reporting inbound supply deviations.
- Conduct spot or sample checks on CASY for status of supply deviations.
- Review inbound data sheet for accuracy & completeness on monthly basis.
- Ensure Quality & Compliance Specialist is accurately & timely reporting outbound supply deviations.
- Ensure employees are aware of KPIs and agreement with customer and monitor progress towards achievement.
- Reconcile various information sources to track accuracy & completeness of internal and external reporting.
**2.Recovery process**
- Supervise the work activities of the Recovery Supervisor.
- Monitor recovery area turnover and review its sufficiency in contributing towards quality and business objectives.
- Analyze recovery productivity to ensure recovery team is able to meet internal targets.
- Ensure Recovery Supervisor is appropriately managing outsourced manpower resources.
- Ensure Recovery areas are maintained adequately with reference to physical demarcation of areas and arrangement of pallets.
- Briefly review the recovery tracker and recovery reconciliation in order to verify the entire process cycle.
**3. Internal damage**
- Verify trend of reporting and identification of internal damage from the Recovery team.
- On a sample basis ensure declaration of internal damage is carried out correctly by the Operations team and/or Recovery team.
- Coordinate with Operations, Operations Support & Quality team to conduct root cause analysis.
- Communicate KPIs & targets to senior members of Quality team and supervise their progress towards the objectives.
**4. Transaction types**
- Review transaction type requests from the Assistant Manager for appropriateness, accuracy and completeness.
- Monitor the transaction type tracker on a regular basis and reconcile requests against system entries on a sample basis.
**5. Product Quality**
- Conduct spot or sample checks on CASY for status of sales stop orders, QSRs, QIRs etc.
- Review product quality tracker for accuracy & completeness on monthly basis.
- Ensure employees are aware of reporting deadlines for submissions to QSC.
- Ensure adherence to procedures in declaring and responding to product quality issues.
**6. Learning & development**
- Actively seek improvement opportunities for the quality team in order to further align them with customer quality & reporting requirements.
- Provide recommendations to Operations team for training & development programs.
- Provide recommendations on resolving root cause issues leading to internal damage.
- Ensure training and refresher sessions are adequately documented for record keeping purposes.
**7. Relationship with stakeholders**
- Establish efficient co-operation between customer and the business in the Quality related fields.
- Act as the primary communication point between the QSC, the business and Management.
- Coordinate with Management and customer to resolve quality management challenges.
**8. Standard operating procedures**
- Instruct quality team on adherence to SOPs.
- Conduct spot checks across the facility to ensure adherence to established procedures.
- Provide suggestions on positive changes and enhancements in existing SOPs.
- Communicate process change to the relevant stakeholders to ensure effective implementation.
**9. Health and safety**
- Practice a safe working culture.
- Report any incident or disciplinary issues to the DC Manager and HSSE team.
**Requirement**:
- Knowledge of the supply chain management.
- Knowledge of general quality management principles and guidelines.
- MY and other applicable labor laws and regulations.
- Organized and set priorities.
- Relationship management and communication skills.
- Leadership and clear reporting skills.
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
- 5 years of experience within the quality management in supply chains.
- Competent with MS office.
- Ability to delegate work.
- Communicate honestly and with clarity.
- Build and manage interpersonal relationships with all internal stakeholders.
- Lead and develop employees.
**Salary**: RM10,000.00 - RM12,000.00 per month
