**Position Summary**:
The Production Director oversees the Manufacturing department and cost management. They establish budgets, resource plans, and production schedules to meet business goals. They also define strategies to achieve departmental objectives and provide strong leadership, coaching, and training to foster lean manufacturing, improve quality, reduce lead times, and manage manufacturing costs.

**Position Summary**:
The individual in this role is responsible for overseeing the Manufacturing Department and plays a crucial role in defining and strategizing to achieve departmental goals. This includes providing strong leadership by coaching and training the team. The role also involves strategizing and developing processes, standard rules, objectives, and detailed working procedures in line with company-established rules and concepts, particularly in areas like IAQ (Internal Audit Quality) and Quality Assurance Procedures. Ultimately, the leader is expected to guide the department in improving various aspects, including quality, lead time, and manufacturing costs.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Contribute and ensure the success of the company’s annual plan.
- Establish and control department KPI.
- Demonstrate good leadership and enable world-class manufacturing processes/ practices.
- Work with other department managers to implement the company's policies and goals.
- Implement and enforce quality control and track programs to meet quality objectives, enabling zero-defect programs.
- Ensure resources in meeting portfolios’ requirements with a plan to meet on-time delivery.
- Responsible for the selection and maintenance of equipment, and equipped the team with the right tools (including work area) to achieve the most effective way to accomplish tasks.
- Analyze manufacturing records and quality control records to detect and correct manufacturing problems.
- Manage, coach, and develop a high-performing manufacturing team that meets agreed objectives and which delivers best practice results, added value, and continuous improvements to enhance product quality and reduce product manufacturing lead time.
- Ensure efficient collaboration and coordination between relevant departments including procurement, project, engineering, Indus, HR, finance etc.
- Ensure implementation and adherence to health and safety procedures.
- Ensure implementation of effective 5S, Kanban, Kaizen.
- Set and control the department budgets.
- Monitor and review the performance of staff and organize necessary interventions for improvement including training (skill matrix), welfare, career growth (promotion/ job enrichment), organization/ team behavior.
- Any other ad-hoc assignment according to business needs.

**Essential Quality Expectations**:

- Proactively identify opportunities for improvement.
- Seek continuous improvement in own job processes.
- Provide accurate reporting.
- To implement continuous manufacturing Quality improvement with concrete preventive action which needs to be documented.
- Disciplinary to follow the flow and procedure to ensure the quality of manufacturing task.
- To maintain and enforcement for the training and the training content of the team to ensure work quality.

**Authority**:

- Authorise manufacturing over time as and when needed to ensure project quality and on-time delivery.
- Authorise to address HR matters (leave, claims, appraisal ) for employees reporting to him.
- Authorise the purchase of indirect material for manufacturing tools and small equipment (up to 1000 USD).

**Requirements and Qualification**
- Possess Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- Require 10 years of experience in the management of manufacturing or maintenance of capital equipment.
- Experience in a managerial role and people management with a large number of employees of more than 50 headcounts.
- Flexible in nature, willing to adjust to the needs of the company, and willing to learn.
- Pro-active personality and curious mind.
- Can analyze and solve complex problems.
- Possess excellent communication skills and team working ability at all levels.
- IT literate with a good understanding of all MS Office, especially MS Excel.
- Good interpersonal skills and fluency in Matrix organization.
