**JOB POSITION: ASSISTANT HOUSEKEEPING MANAGER**

**SALARY: RM4,000 - RM5,000**

**JOB DESCRIPTION**:
The Assistant Housekeeper/Assistant Manager (Housekeeping) is well-versed in all responsibilities within the Housekeeping Department. They oversee recruitment, training, and scheduling for the team. Ensuring both back-of-house and public areas maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation falls within the purview of the Assistant Housekeeper/Assistant Manager (Housekeeping). Additionally, they promptly report any maintenance requirements to the department head, facilitating optimal team performance.

**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Housekeeping Supervision:
Aid in overseeing and coordinating the activities of the housekeeping team, which includes room attendants, housekeeping assistants, and laundry staff.
Assist in crafting work schedules and assigning tasks to team members.
Conduct inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure compliance with cleanliness and maintenance standards.
- Training and Development:
Assist in training and developing housekeeping staff to ensure adherence to established standards and procedures.
Offer guidance and support to staff members, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
- Inventory Management:
Assist in monitoring and managing the inventory of housekeeping supplies and equipment to maintain adequate stock levels.
Maintain records of inventory and assist in the procurement of supplies as required.
Ensure that cleaning equipment is maintained in good working order.
- Quality Control:
Assist in maintaining guest rooms and public areas to meet or exceed cleanliness standards.
Address guest complaints or concerns related to housekeeping promptly and efficiently.
Support the implementation and enforcement of quality control procedures.
- Guest Services:
Collaborate with the front desk and other hotel departments to ensure prompt fulfillment of guest requests.
Assist in resolving guest issues and concerns related to housekeeping.
- Budget Support:
Assist in the preparation of the housekeeping department budget.
Aid the Housekeeping Manager in monitoring departmental expenses and adhering to budgetary constraints.
- Staff Management:
Participate in the recruitment and training of housekeeping staff.
Foster a positive and productive work environment.
Assist in conducting performance reviews and addressing performance concerns as necessary.
- Safety and Compliance:
Ensure housekeeping operations comply with safety and hygiene regulations.
Support the implementation and upkeep of health and safety protocols for the department.
Assist in training staff on safety procedures and protocols.
- Reporting:
Prepare reports on departmental performance metrics, including occupancy rates, cleanliness scores, and budget adherence.
Provide reports and updates to the Housekeeping Manager or Executive Housekeeper.

**JOB REQUIREMENT**:

- A Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management or a related discipline is desirable.
- Previous experience in hotel housekeeping, preferably in a supervisory or assistant management capacity.
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
- Keen attention to detail and dedication to upholding elevated cleanliness benchmarks.
- Proficiency in housekeeping equipment and cleaning methodologies.
- Familiarity with hotel management software and platforms.
- Capability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
- Understanding of local health and safety regulations.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, encompassing evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
