**The Organisation**:
**The Role**

As an Associate Director, GSG, your primary role is to oversee and expand a portfolio of multi-national customers with a strong presence in PNG and headquarters across their international markets, with a focus on industries such as REI, FBA, and Diversified Industries.

**Responsibilities include**

Actively growing the portfolio by acquiring new customers and retaining existing ones through a strategic approach aligned with the PNG and Institutional strategy.
- This includes implementing effective client acquisition strategies, cross-selling relevant products and services, and leveraging referrals to expand the customer base.
- Collaborating with team members, product specialists, credit executives, and other stakeholders is crucial to identify and implement value-adding strategies for both existing and prospective customers, while also minimizing potential risks to the bank.
- In addition to portfolio growth, maintaining strong customer relationships is a key focus. This entails cultivating and managing relationships with customers across various industries and jurisdictions.
- Coaching colleagues and supporting their professional development. By providing guidance, sharing knowledge, and fostering a culture of continuous learning, the objective is to support business objectives and enhance the overall performance of the team.

Overall, the role combines strategic account planning, relationship development, client acquisition, and cross-selling efforts to effectively manage and expand the customer portfolio. By consistently meeting or exceeding expectations through exceptional customer service and implementing risk-minimizing strategies, the aim is to drive sustainable growth and success for the bank.

**Key Requirements**
- Strong Knowledge of** Transactional Banking, Lending and Markets** products
- Extensive experience in an Institutional relationship or product sales role
- Strong customer focus and ability to lead and execute a high-quality account plan
- Ability to lead strategic discussions with both client and internal stakeholders, demonstrating sound analytical, negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Strong risk management and** business development mind-set**, including an excellent understanding of credit, market and operational risk
- Good knowledge of Institutional banking legal and regulatory requirements
- Ability to up-tier relationships at C-Suite levels
- Ability to culture carry and being a strong proponent of ANZ’s values
- Fluent in English and **Mandarin would be highly advantageous**
