Assistant Manager, Corporate Responsibility

To assist programme head to implement and monitor CSR strategy, initiatives and programmes to support the Company’s long-term commitment to give back to the local communities in which we serve in the most practical and impactful manner possible.
1. Assist programme lead to develop, implement and manage the day-to-day operations of organization’s CSR programmes particularly for PRUKasih Aman program.
2. Leading PRUKasih Aman working team performance and deliverable which consist of headcount from PAMB and GG.
3. Work closely with appointed NGOs, partners, vendors and ensure that the teams perform and implement all plans successfully and in accordance with the objectives.
4. Monitor and manage PRUKasih Aman budget to ensure that all spend is within the approved limits / budgets.
5. Manage PRUKasih Aman & activities calendar and work together to drive enrolment rate and participation of PAMB staff volunteers.
6. Assist programme lead to develop partnership models and negotiations with key partners.
7. Assist to manage other CSR programmes such as Financial Education, Disaster Relief and Preparedness, Entrepreneurship and Volunteer Management.
8. Facilitate the development of team members (PRUKasih Aman headcount) through personal involvement in coaching and mentoring while creating an environment that fosters learning, growth and development.
9. Supporting Prudence Foundation and Group Head Office in CSR initiatives locally or abroad
QUALIFICATION
- Passionate about development in Malaysia; demonstration of a longstanding commitment to or interest in education and poverty alleviation
- Sense of compassion for disadvantaged communities in Malaysia and desire to contribute professionally to eradication of poverty in the country.
- A good understanding of the financial services and insurance industry (though previous experience in and knowledge of the industry is preferred but not necessarily a must)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a role that requires systematic management of multiple projects.
- Critical thinking and analytical skills; ability to write and communicate clearly and effectively.
- Ability to travel independently within Malaysia.
- Ability to communicate effectively in the Malaysian context
Other Requirements:
- Experience with impact evaluation design and implementation
- Experience with managing and developing capacity of a team.
- Experience delivering workshops and training.
- Experience with project management in a humanitarian or non-profit setting Experience with development programme management or foundation management
- Knowledge of poverty alleviation and development in Malaysia
- Frequent travel and able to work during weekends when required.
