SUMMARY OF JOB SCOPE

Fully accountable for managing the total Sales & Marketing efforts within the hotel including the integrity of the customer base of key accounts / key prospects, the generation of revenue consistent with hotel objectives and achieving agreed sales & marketing targets as detailed in the Annual Sales & Marketing Plan, and Hotel P&L Budget. The Director of Sales and Marketing is responsible to lead and direct the sales & marketing department to effectively achieve or exceed set goals for Sales and Marketing with regards to maximization of revenues /yields and adequate positioning as well as exposure for the property.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Prepare and direct the development and implementation of the annual sales and marketing plan.
- Compile, implement and monitor action plan to ensure agreed and approved annual revenue targets are achieved.
- Direct all activities of hotel property sales & marketing team, providing the leadership and motivation necessary to implement effective sales and marketing strategies and maximize the generation of sales/revenue, including monthly account production and review.
- Manage the Monthly Sales Team Sales to achieve individuals’ sales production targets.
- Provide direction on and conduct market research.
- Analyze current and potential market/trends, coordinate all activities to maintain and increase revenue.
- Procure new and repeat business by monitoring contact with existing and potential clients from the agencies, commercial houses, private clubs and professional associations within local market.
- Make pricing decisions in line with company and property policy.
- Interact with potential clients to generate corporate / government business for short and long stay.
- Monitor competitor activities and use market intelligence to obtain competitor’s top account list. Maintain a positive community image for self and property and remain current on local business trends. Participate in voluntary organizations which are business related.
- Establish and continuously update mailing lists/ database. Organize and attend major sales/PR related functions within the Department.
- Conduct regular meetings and briefing as required so as key information is communicated & disseminated properly and in a timely manner.
- Conduct weekly review of sales personnel activity to ensure targets and sales objectives are being met.
- Attend Revenue Meeting, Business Review and or key meetings as required. Produce weekly, monthly sales report and forecast.
- Ensure training needs analysis of sales & marketing associates is carried out and training program are designed and implemented to meet needs for maximizing full potential of the Sales & Marketing Department.

**Salary**: RM7,000.00 - RM9,000.00 per month
