Functional
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, assess, and mitigate physical and transition risks related to the environment.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance in climate change and geological risks to support risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
- Act as an advocate to our customers, assisting them in reducing their carbon footprint and achieving carbon neutrality.
- Develop and implement initiatives to advance environmental protection and sustainable practices within the bank and its stakeholders.
- Facilitate the creation of innovative financial solutions to increase engagement and investment in climate risk areas.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging environmental regulations and industry best practices to ensure compliance and promote sustainable business practices.
- Foster relationships with key stakeholders, including regulators, industry experts, and clients, to drive positive change and sustainable outcomes.

Managerial
- Be a good team player to ensure strong team spirits and deliver quality results.

Organizational
- Strong technical proficiency in the sciences, with a solid understanding of climate change and environmental risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
- Passion for environmental protection and a deep commitment to advancing sustainable practices.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively advocate for environmentally responsible strategies and engage stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Positive energy, pleasant personality, and the ability to work collaboratively in a diverse and dynamic environment.
- Proactive and self-motivated, with the drive to become a strong advocate for sustainable practices within the organization.

Education/Qualification
- Degree-level qualifications in climatology, applied climatology, environmental science, environmental geology or a related discipline; OR
- Financial, Business, Risk Management or related tertiary/degree qualifications with separate accreditations in Environmental / Climate Change studies (e.g., Sustainability and Climate Risk (SCR) Certificate from the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP)).
