Cardiologist - Cardiology Department

**CARDIOLOGIST**:

- CARDIOLOGY DEPARTMENT _

**Responsibilities
- Provide appropriate medical consultations and care according to best evidence
- based practice, to patients, and document adequately in clinical medical records.
- Responsible in managing the inpatients and provide outpatient consultation.
- Review and interpret investigations under consultants’ supervision and document

the procedure and findings in a report.
- Supervise the clinical work of medical officers /clinical fellows to the required
- standards and document in training logbook.
- Participate and encourage participation in clinical studies or trials approved by

ethics committee and the department, and to provide a record of trial update and
results.
- Participate in continued medical educational programs within and outside the
- institution with adequate record of attendance.
- Perform on call duties as documented in the on-call roster
- Participate in teaching medical officers from government institutions and medical

students from various universities on attachment in IJN.
- Perform other task assigned by the management.

**Requirements
- Basic Medical Degree from recognized institution
- Registered with Malaysian Medical Council (MMC)
- Post Graduate medical qualification from recognized institution or National

Specialist Register in Cardiology
- Possess basic computer skills (Excel / PowerPoint / Words)
- Good interpersonal skill, good Written and Oral Communication skills
- At least three (3) years cardiology experience
