About the Role:

The Senior Basin Research Manager will lead and oversee technical research, analysis, and interpretation of information and data relating to sedimentary basins in the Far East region. This includes managing and mentoring a team of basin researchers based in Kuala Lumpur, supporting the team in their regional research, maintaining the IRIS21 database, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities and Impact:
  • Leverage expertise in geology and geophysics to drive research and analysis projects
  • Mentor and develop a high-performing team of geoscientists
  • Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with key stakeholders
  • Promote innovation and continuous improvement within the team
What We're Looking For:
  • A highly motivated individual with a commercial mindset and excellent communication skills
  • A minimum of 8 years upstream industry experience with experience in managing a small team
  • Proven experience in basin research or a similar role, ideally within the energy sector
