Job Description:
\As a member of the UOB Group Wholesale Banking Anti-Financial Crimes Operations (AFC Ops) Corps / Financial Institutions AFC Ops Team, you will be responsible for ensuring customer due diligence (CDD) programs are in place. This includes ID&V, know your customer (KYC), anti-money laundering (AML) principles, and Sanctions oversight. Your key responsibilities will be to prepare documentation, conduct CDD in a timely manner, liaise with Relationship Managers, and ensure data accuracy in systems and documentation.
\You will also be expected to extract data from worksheets and reports for distribution to respective Business units, assist Business Units in responding to CDD enquiries originating from local authorities or correspondent banks, perform screening assessments, and escalate material hits where applicable. Additionally, you will provide regular statistics and presentations to Senior Management and participate in ad-hoc assignments and projects, e.g., audit, user acceptance testing.
\Key Performance Indicators:
\Measuring the effectiveness of CDD programs, maintaining high levels of accuracy in system data, and ensuring compliance with MAS 626 regulations and associated regulatory requirements for AML/CFT and Sanctions will be key performance indicators.
\Requirements:
\For this role, we are looking for a tertiary education holder and above with prior working experience in KYC/CDD roles being advantageous. You must maintain a high degree of knowledge in MAS 626 regulations and associated regulatory requirements for AML/CFT and Sanctions, possess excellent communication skills, and be proficient in handling data and using Excel functions.
\A certification as an AFC specialist (e.g., CAMS/Diploma in AML, Governance, and Risk) from a recognized institution will be advantageous.
