This role is responsible for initiating projects, obtaining authorization to start, and scoping project deliverables. You will engage project sponsors and steering committees, plan effectively around delivery constraints, and optimize plans to maximize benefits and minimize risk.

The ideal candidate will have 8-12 years of experience in project management, preferably within the financial services sector, and prior experience working on data projects. Good understanding of finance operations, regulatory requirements, data quality remediation, and transformation methodologies is required.

You will be responsible for proactively monitoring project execution, identifying risks, issues, and dependencies, and assessing their impact on benefit realization. The role requires taking ownership of critical issues, ensuring resolution within agreed timescales, and implementing mitigating plans against identified risks and issues.

  • Demonstrate effective financial skills to develop a detailed business case, including investments, detailed benefits, and link to overall finances of the business.
  • Develop and review estimates and estimating assumptions for the project's schedule, effort, and cost using established Global Change Delivery estimating models, best practices, and past experience.
  • Provide timely reports on project status, risks, and issues, evaluating project performance based on management information.

A successful candidate will have good communication, leadership, and analytical skills, proficiency in Project Management Tools: Confluence, Jira, MS Planner, MS PowerPoint, and PMP or equivalent certification (PSM, CSM) is preferred. Languages: English, Cantonese/Mandarin (Preferred).
