Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Commercial Buyer to join our team at Askheadhunter. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the purchasing of non-engine components, compliance with the DRB-HICOM Group Procurement Policy (GPP), and managing procurement activity.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Purchase of Non Engine Components (Commercial Purchase)
  • Source new suppliers and obtain Bill of Quantities (BQ) in RFP.
  • Receive purchase requisitions (PR), verify user requirements, conduct request for quotation (RFQ) exercises, verify cost comparisons in PR, negotiate prices, and submit PR for approval.
  • Check printed Purchase Orders before submission to superiors and monitor PO completion and timely delivery by suppliers.
  1. Contract Management
  • Perform purchasing activities such as supplier sourcing, price negotiation, cost comparison for new contracted items and contract renewal (commercial and scheduled waste).
  • Liaise with the Legal Affairs Department on legal matters (contract, service agreement, etc.) and print LOA, get approval from HYMM and suppliers.
  • Manage and maintain purchase contracts/agreements between HYMM and suppliers, evaluate supplier performance as per GP Procedure, and perform tendering process activities.
Requirements
  1. Execute all purchasing activities to comply with the GPP and liaise with the Group Procurement on all related matters to audit issues.
  2. Understand and maintain HYMM Purchasing and Material Order Control procedures, understand and comply with the GPP and GOP systems, and understand and maintain BAAN system effectively.
  3. Maintain all documents safely and provide methods for easy retrieval, prepare purchasing reports for Operation Performance, and other required reports.
  4. Assist in job evaluation and job description exercises, assist in compilation and processing of staff performance reviews, enforce discipline and morals of subordinates, and assist superiors in providing formal and informal training to subordinates.
  5. Plan and coordinate 5S activities at the department level and encourage ESS among subordinates.
