Job Description

The Transaction Risk Management Specialist will play a key role in ensuring that client transactions are processed efficiently and in compliance with relevant regulations and laws. Key responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing and resolving potential matches generated by internal systems for various compliance regulations.
  • Working closely with Global/Regional Sanctions Ops and Regional Cash/Trade Processing Ops.
  • Ensuring transactions are processed efficiently, acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), and recommending process improvements.
  • Ensuring potential matches are reviewed and resolved in a timely manner while complying with Citi internal policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Evaluating and recommending solutions to problems through data analysis, technical experience, and precedent.
  • Anticipating and responding to requests for deliverables from internal and external clients and vendors (if applicable).
  • Participating in internal and external audit reviews.
  • Contributing to and collaborating with Global/Regional Sanctions Ops on projects and initiatives.
  • Identifying the root cause of compliance issues identified during the Manager Control Assessment and undertaking corrective action to ensure immediate compliance.
  • Appropriately assessing risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct, and business practices, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience
  • 0-5 years of relevant experience
  • Fundamental comprehension of financial industry regulations
  • Effective verbal and written skills
  • Effective communication and analytical skills
