We are looking for an experienced Accounting Strategist who can develop and implement effective financial strategies to drive business growth and profitability.

The successful candidate will have expertise in accounting practices aligned with legislative requirements, a solid theoretical foundation, and hands-on experience in applying IFRS, government support programs, and funding mechanisms.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain best practices in financial management, ensuring alignment with industry standards and driving financial strategy to support business growth and profitability.
  • Manage banking relationships, cash management, and Treasury-related activities by negotiating with financial institutions, overseeing forex hedging strategies, and ensuring sufficient liquidity for business operations, investments, and working capital requirements.
  • Conduct tax analysis to optimize operations by identifying tax incentives, ensuring compliance with Malaysian tax laws, and implementing tax-efficient business structures to minimize liabilities.
  • Provide oversight on tax, internal controls, and audit-related matters by coordinating with tax consultants, ensuring readiness for internal and external audits, maintaining compliance with LHDN regulations, and addressing audit findings to strengthen governance.
  • Manage the budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning process by developing data-driven financial models, assessing economic and industry trends, and aligning financial strategies with business expansion, refinery projects, and downstream investment.
