Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Legal Advice and Support: Offer expert legal guidance and support to our business units and stakeholders on all legal matters, including contract reviews, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Manage Legal Risks: Identify, assess, and mitigate legal risks associated with our business activities, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Develop and Implement Legal Strategies: Collaborate with our business units and stakeholders to develop and implement effective legal strategies that support our business objectives.
  • Manage External Counsel: Oversee the engagement of external counsel and ensure that their services are delivered in accordance with our Group's policies and procedures.
  • Provide Training and Development: Develop and deliver training programs to our business units and stakeholders on legal matters, ensuring that they have the necessary knowledge and skills to manage legal risks effectively.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Must be a qualified lawyer in a common law jurisdiction (solicitor, attorney, or barrister) with 5+ years' post-qualification experience.
  • Skills and Experience: Proven experience in providing legal advice and support to business units and stakeholders, with a strong understanding of contract law, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Certifications: Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP) from Legal Profession Qualifying Board, Malaysia, or Barrister at Law from the Inns of UK.
