Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Coding and developing software that meets the needs of our diverse user base, with a focus on accessibility, responsiveness, and scalability.
  • Collaborating with our design team to craft visually appealing and intuitive user interfaces that delight our users.
  • Working with our engineering team to select the most suitable software packages, hardware platforms, and implementation strategies for new features and improvements.
  • Evaluating product ideas and providing expert advice on resource allocation, timelines, and technical feasibility.
  • Refining and optimising our development processes to ensure consistency with industry best practices and exceed performance benchmarks.
  • Staying up-to-date with emerging trends, technologies, and methodologies to drive innovation and growth.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • At least 5 years of experience in frontend development with a proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions.
  • Expertise in Vue.js, ES6, and GraphQL, with a solid understanding of web development principles and best practices.
  • Strong coding skills, including proficiency in version control systems like Git, unit testing, continuous integration and delivery, and component libraries.
  • A keen sense of user empathy and ownership over the products you've created, with a passion for crafting exceptional user experiences.
  • Sensitivity to website design and aesthetics, with an eye for detail and a commitment to excellence.
  • Experience in solving complex problems and driving significant impact as an individual contributor.
Desirable Skills

In addition to the requirements above, it would be advantageous if you have:

  • Built your own frontend boilerplate or component library, demonstrating expertise in architecture and design patterns.
  • Worked with typed languages like TypeScript or Flow, showcasing your ability to adapt to new technologies.
  • Developed a deep understanding of technical requirements in start-ups and internet companies, with a keen eye for scalability and efficiency.
  • An active and data-driven approach to problem-solving, with a willingness to experiment and learn from failure.
