Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing departmental software development frameworks, policies, and best practices.

They will also lead project teams comprising of Application Developers, manage and implement software frameworks and utilities tools projects, and maintain team progress and resolve issues that arise.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in application development, software architecture, and cloud computing, with a minimum of 7 years' experience in enterprise-level application development and 3 years' hands-on software/solution architecture design experience.

The requirements for this role include:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
  • Knowledge and experience in Software Development Lifecycle (e.g., Waterfall, Agile & Incremental).
  • Experience in cloud-aware application design.
  • Good understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and security principles.
  • Able to identify performance bottlenecks and optimize system performance.
  • Familiar with integration technologies such as messaging queues, API gateways, and enterprise service buses (ESBs).
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies, enterprise architecture principles, and various technologies relevant to their industry.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Good command of English (verbal and written).
  • Able to communicate in Mandarin would be an added advantage.
