About You

CARSOME is a leading digital publishing and classified listings company that requires a skilled Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and defining test strategies, test plans, and test cases to ensure the quality of our digital publishing and classified listings systems.

Your Responsibilities
  1. Test Management
    1. Develop and maintain testing standards and procedures to ensure the quality of our systems.
    2. Lead testing efforts across the region, ensuring that testing reflects current requirements and objectives.
    3. Manage testing deliverables within resource and time constraints, refining plans and requirements as needed.
    4. Collaborate with user personnel to ensure effective test planning, execution, and sign-off.
    5. Secure approval of testing deliverables from project stakeholders.
    6. Ensure the effective use of the defect management system, resolving defects in a timely manner.
    7. Plan, resource, and execute full regression testing.
    8. Adhere to project methodology and testing methodology wherever practical.
  2. Reporting
    1. Maintain and report against a defect management system.
    2. Report progress to project stakeholders.
    3. Develop and maintain good communication channels with other key areas within the project.
  3. Personal Development and Teamwork
    1. Demonstrate flexibility in operating as part of a team.
    2. Demonstrate awareness of personal development needs and actively participate in self-development activities.
    3. Understand and support the performance management process.
    4. Be aware of and comply with all company policies.

Last but not least, collaborate with Management, undertake any other duties or projects that may be reasonably required by Management or that may be reasonably foreseen through proactive role engagement, and deal with matters arising in a timely and effective manner.

Your Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent in an IT-related field of study.
  2. 3+ years of Web Testing experience, including Functional, Synchronisation, Browser Compatibility, End to End, and Regression testing.
  3. Manual testing experience.
  4. Experience working with applications that use Java, Oracle, JMeter, Postman, MySQL, Linux, XHTML, CSS, and other web technologies.
  5. Experience with continuous integration and release management tools, especially Jenkins.
  6. Experience with Defect management tools like JIRA.
  7. Experience with Test Management Tools.
  8. Experience working with Information Architects and System Architects, and familiarity with a user-centred design process.
  9. Demonstrated ability to independently time manage and deliver to deadlines.
  10. Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  11. Numerate and with excellent use of English.
