Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Director, Systems Engineer to lead our APAC Infrastructure System Engineering team. This role involves directing strategy and overseeing the execution for the regional team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategy and Execution: Own the strategy and oversee the execution for the regional APAC Infrastructure System Engineering (INF SE) technical team.
  • Team Management: Recruit, manage, and develop employees, including decisions on hiring, promotions, salary adjustments, and other changes in employee status.
  • Budget Management: Set, manage, and approve budgets and expenses for the regional SE team, including business travel, capital, and operational expenditures.
  • Business Alignment: Work with regional sales and marketing leaders to align SE support with business needs to deliver a valuable customer experience.
  • Market Insights: Provide feedback to product engineering on regional market trends and needs, resulting in design features that improve the marketability of CommScope's products.
  • Sales Support: Support new product rollouts with external presentations focused on technical differentiation and value proposition.
  • Solution Development: Craft, improve, and deliver solutions presentations for end-user customers and consultants to boost sales of CommScope's products.
  • Marketing Support: Support sales and marketing with media activities, including writing articles for publications, assisting with advertising, and preparing technical documentation.
Requirements
  • Education: Preferably with a Bachelor/Master's Degree in Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunication, Computer or appropriate field with at least 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Managerial Experience: Managerial experience required, preferably 5 years minimum.
  • Industry Knowledge: Knowledgeable of local structured cabling standards, building, electrical, and data-communication codes and regulations.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of current Data Center technologies and industry trends for Enterprise Data Centers, Multi-tenant Data Centers, and AI clusters.
  • Domain Expertise: Good understanding of LAN/WAN systems and physical media requirements, including wireless applications.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to influence, train, and mentor channel partners and system integration partners.
  • Sales Skills: Deal closing skills to assist sales and influence business outcomes through product expertise combined with strategic thinking.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to create and deliver sales and training presentations with confidence and customer-facing skill.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Structured Cabling Experience: Preferably with minimum of 10 years structured cabling system design experience, with recent experience in design of pathways and infrastructure for Data Centers.
  • Industry Certification: Possess current industry technical certification (preferred) (such as BICSI RCDD, BICSI DCDC, BICSI OSP).
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to establish and maintain relationships in a culturally diverse environment.
