Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team at Galactic Advance Engineering (M) Sdn. Bhd. in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining industrial control systems, as well as configuring and troubleshooting drives and VFDs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Implement Industrial Control Systems: Develop and implement control systems using PLC programming, HMI/SCADA, and drive configuration.
  • Troubleshoot and Maintain Systems: Troubleshoot and maintain industrial control systems, including drives and VFDs, to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Configure and Test Drives: Configure, install, test, and commission drives and VFDs to meet specific requirements.
  • Manage Contractors: Manage on-site contractors to perform work tasks assigned safely and adhering to quality standards.
Requirements:
  • Education: B.Eng. in Electrical & Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience: More than 3 years of field working experience in the Industrial Control System and instrumentation field.
  • Skills: Proficient in Siemens S7 Programmable Logic Controller programming (PLC), Simatic Classic and TIA Portal (Simatic S5 knowledge will be an added advantage).
  • Other Requirements: Must be willing to travel extensively, able to work independently as well as in a team, and committed to job completion.
