Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Initiatives and Analysis: Develop and implement strategic initiatives and analysis to improve business performance, including gross profit analysis, shrinkage analysis, facilities analysis, and ad-hoc projects.
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis: Review and analyze financial reports and analytical reviews to ensure accuracy and timeliness, and implement corrective measures as needed.
  • Variance Analysis: Provide variance analysis of actual performance against plan to identify areas for improvement.
  • Business Planning and Forecasting: Manage and coordinate the business planning and rolling forecast for the business unit(s), ensuring timely submission.
  • Financial Processes and Controls: Manage financial processes, contract review, and controls for the business units, ensuring adequate internal control and closing gaps of external/internal audit findings.
  • Collaboration and Process Improvement: Drive collaboration between business units and accounting services to ensure continuous business process improvements, proper controls, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Provide input to the accounting services team for associated activities, including monthly accruals and provisions, reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements.
  • SAP Support: Provide SAP Retail (Finance), SAP Business Intelligence, and SAP FICO support to ensure seamless financial operations.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Undertake additional responsibilities to support/replace other team member roles as required.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Professional qualifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CIMA) are an added advantage.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, planning, and reporting.
  • Skills: Proven experience with SAP systems, particularly SAP Retail (Finance), SAP Business Intelligence, and SAP FICO. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Personal Qualities: Detail-oriented and proactive in identifying and resolving issues. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Adaptable and open to taking on additional responsibilities as required.
