EMQ Ltd., a recognized Tech Pioneer by the World Economic Forum, is seeking a mid-level to early senior level engineer to join its Finance, Accounting & Treasury division. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of relevant experience in Software development, with a strong background in backend software development and high throughput transactional systems.

The successful candidate will be responsible for building new FX capabilities to EMQ's global payments network, streamlining and modernizing the financial operation that supports our global fund flow, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to build solutions that solve day-to-day problems and enhance operational efficiency for the Finance, Accounting & Treasury function.

We are looking for a skilled engineer with expertise in object-oriented programming languages, preferably Python, and working experience with web development frameworks, such as Flask/FastAPI. Additionally, the candidate should have experience in API development, data structure, and algorithm design. Familiarity with SDLC, clean code principles, and Agile methodologies is also essential.

The selected candidate will work closely with the team to refactor or decouple monolithic applications, implement scalable solutions, and ensure the highest standards of quality and reliability. Experience in Erlang or functional programming languages, frontend development using React, and working knowledge of AWS services, Linux, shell scripting, Docker, and Git are highly desirable.

In this role, you will contribute to the development of treasury management systems, core banking infrastructure, and FX-related solutions. A strong understanding of treasury concepts, FX markets, and core banking processes is preferred.
