Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Test Engineering Manager to join our team at CareerArc. This is a key role that will play a critical part in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the evaluation, recommendation, and implementation of testing procedures, strategies, systems, components, and modifications.
  • Act as an advisor to the test engineering team regarding projects, tasks, and operations, and act as a liaison to other engineering functions.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Direct and/or coordinate electronic engineering and/or technical personnel in fabrication and design of testing and test control apparatus and equipment, or software and systems testing.
  • Direct and coordinate electronic engineering activities concerned with development, procurement, installation and calibration of instruments, equipment and control devices required to test, telemeter and record test data.
  • Determine conditions under which tests are to be conducted and sequences and phases of test operations.
  • Interface and confer with scientific, engineering and technical personnel to resolve testing problems such as product or system malfunctions, incomplete test data, data interpretation or coding issues.
  • Analyze and interpret test data and prepare technical reports for use by electronic or software engineering, and management personnel.
  • Develop or use computer software and hardware to conduct tests on electronic products and systems or software.
  • Train and instruct floor support, test technicians and test operators on test hardware and/or software, as well as proper problem solving techniques.
  • Resolve test yield problems by performing analysis of root causes, developing and coordinating corrective action measures and monitoring improvements.
  • Coordinate all activities and all testers during each testing phase of a project or program.
  • Maintain awareness of testing alternatives at a level where they can be analyzed and the most effective testing strategy selected and agreed.
  • Assess and advise on the practicality of testing process alternatives.
  • Identify improvements to the process and assist in their implementation.
  • Ensure that any risks associated with the agreed test strategy and the system test plan are clearly documented and described to the clients/users and colleagues.
  • Manage all risks associated with the testing and take preventative action when any risks become unacceptable.
  • Plan, arrange and control meetings, workshops and relations with client/user staff during test planning and throughout subsequent development and testing activities.
Requirements
  • Possess a Degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 13 years of working experience in the related field is required.
