About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join our Firmware Engineering team as an intern. As a firmware engineer intern, you will have the opportunity to work on designing, developing, testing, and integrating quality firmware for our enterprise Hard Disk Drive (eHDD) products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop firmware using best practices such as unit testing, continuous integration, and Agile methodologies.
  • Implement data structures, software algorithms, data path, and drivers for hardware cores using C++ and Python.
  • Participate in technical investigations from problem statement to conclusions.
  • Develop design documents for various phases of firmware development.
  • Conduct in-depth functionality and compatibility testing of complex drive features.
Requirements
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of C, object-oriented programming (e.g., C++, Python), data structures, algorithms, and multi-threaded programming.
  • Ability to rapidly learn new technologies, complex code, and firmware, hardware, systems, tools, and methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, algorithm design, and complexity analysis.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and ever-evolving environment.
Desired Skills and Experience
  • Knowledge of micro-controller architecture (ARM or ARC), embedded firmware development, and RTOS.
  • Knowledge of data analytics, data visualization, and machine learning.
  • Good understanding of Agile practices.
