Purpose Statement: As a key member of the Plexus team, the Digital Manufacturing Operations Engineer plays a pivotal role in optimizing and managing manufacturing processes using digital technologies. Leveraging tools such as automation, data analytics, simulation, and machine learning, this role aims to enhance efficiency, quality, and agility in manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement digital solutions to streamline production, reduce costs, and improve overall performance in manufacturing facilities.
- Develop and provide high-quality manufacturing solutions that meet customer requirements and are cost-effective.
- Utilize appropriate tools and equipment to perform necessary work, including creation, analysis, and verification.
- Collaborate with cross-discipline teams to successfully execute responsibilities in adherence to Plexus' manufacturing processes.
- Produce comprehensive project documentation based on project needs and quality and change management procedures.
Education and Experience:
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science is required; a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or higher is preferred.
- Less than one year of related experience is required; one year or more of related experience is preferred.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform key job responsibilities may be considered.
Other Requirements:
- Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in CAD and CAM software.
- Thorough understanding of PLM systems to manage product lifecycles effectively.
- Proficiency in simulation and data analysis software for optimizing production workflows and analyzing manufacturing data.
- Familiarity with automation technologies and basic programming knowledge.
- Strong analytical and statistical analysis skills, including proficiency in statistical process control software.
- Ability to work in a cross-discipline team environment and develop good working relationships with team members and customers.
