About the Role

Carsem (M) Sdn. Bhd. is currently looking for an exceptional Financial Controller to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to our core financial reporting functions, including management reporting, budgeting, treasury management, and internal control compliance.
  • Ensure the accuracy and reliability of our financial activities by providing timely and insightful analysis of budgets, financial trends, and forecasts.
  • Collaborate with executive management to advise on the financial implications of business decisions.
  • Support the Operating Manager in developing strategic plans and monitor their implementation.
  • Liaise with various internal and external stakeholders, including tax and regulatory agencies.
  • Oversee feasibility studies and due diligence of potential projects or investments.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of computerized accounting systems, including AP, AR, and GL.
  • Familiarity with Treasury and banking management.
  • Able to prepare accurate and timely periodic accounts for management.
  • Proficient in budgeting and cash flow forecasting.
  • Knowledge of group consolidation of accounts.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Professional accounting qualifications such as ACCA or CIMA are advantageous.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is encouraged.
  • At least 10 years of leadership experience in finance.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
