Key Responsibilities

  • Study product specifications and assembly drawings to derive standard time for product costing and mass production.
  • Determine the machines, equipment, tools, jigs, and fixtures required for product manufacturing.
  • Estimate, establish, and improve product cost for quotation.
  • Apply statistical methods and perform mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing process, production standards, and manpower requirements.
  • Analyze production-related information and statistics for efficiency and productivity improvement.
  • Study Lean Manufacturing best practices, innovative solutions, and conduct continuous study to recommend more efficient manufacturing methods or tools, labor utilization standards, equipment, and cost analysis to increase productivity and maximize efficiency.
  • Assist Process Engineering and Production on the plan for balanced processes implementation in the production floor.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a discipline related to Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Production.
  • 1 year of proven working experience supporting manufacturing environments.
  • Time study skills along with an understanding of capacity planning.
  • Ability to read and interpret basic mechanical and electrical schematics and documentation.
  • Basic experience in process optimization and determining productivity constraints (i.e., process bottlenecks).
  • Experience in assisting in the development of plant/manufacturing line layouts.
  • Experience in PCBA and product costing for quotation.
