Senior IT Infrastructure Analyst Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Infrastructure Analyst to join our IT team at Renesas Electronics (Penang) Sdn Bhd in Penang. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the technical and administrative activities of our IT server and services, including deployment, configuration, maintenance, upgrading, and migration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage virtualization infrastructure, including VMware, Nutanix, and VDI.
  • Administer Windows server and services, such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Exchange, File server, and ERP.
  • Implement and manage DevOps systems.
  • Monitor the performance of all software and hardware, install servers, configure systems, and ensure smooth technical operations.
  • Support and drive daily server operations and security tasks.
  • Provide hands-on user support in the office and remotely.
  • Write user manuals and KB in ServiceNow.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in system administration.
  • Experience with administering VMware, Nutanix, VDI, ERP, Windows Active Directory, and Backup solutions.
  • Experience in administration, configuration, and maintenance of Windows Server (2012 to 2022) and Unix Server (Ubuntu, RedHat).
  • Some programming/scripting experience (e.g., PowerShell, bash, or python).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Self-driven, good at learning, and breaking down complex topics.
  • Ability to manage your own work from start to finish.
  • Customer-centric orientation.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Teamwork & Partnership.
  • Willingness to travel and work outside of local business hours occasionally.
  • Relevant IT certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified) are preferred.
