Job Description

At Elsa Talent Solutions Sdn. Bhd., we are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Specialist to join our team.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to take on a key role in ensuring the financial health of our organization.

You will be responsible for producing timely and accurate financial reports, developing strategies based on thorough financial research, and providing guidance to senior executives in making informed business decisions.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Payment Processing: Ensure timely processing and payment of all payment requests, including staff claims and statutory payments.
  2. PA Issuance: Issue Payment Advice (PA) on the same day of payment out for related projects.
  3. Supporting Documents: Verify that all supporting documents are complete before issuing payment advice.
  4. Intercompany Charges: Coordinate monthly intercompany incoming/outgoing charges, ensuring no outstanding balances for all intercompany transactions.
  5. Department Coordination: Collaborate with internal and external departments to ensure payments are made promptly on time.
  6. Internal Controls: Maintain and ensure appropriate internal controls are in place and operating effectively in accordance with corporate policies and procedures.
  7. Payment Schedule Execution: Validate, review, and execute payment schedules upon receiving ad-hoc payment requests, ensuring compliance with approval requirements prior to processing.
  8. Transaction Posting: Ensure accurate posting of payable transactions to support management and financial reporting needs.
  9. Supplier Reconciliation: Reconcile supplier statements of account against aging and clearing accounts.
  10. Closing Activities: Perform monthly and yearly closing activities.
  11. Audit Support: Ensure proper filing and supporting documentation for audit purposes.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  1. Bachelor's Degree: A degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent qualifications.
  2. Work Experience: At least 1-2 years of working experience in the related field.
  3. Task Management: Proven ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  4. AP Billing and Payment Process Experience: Experience in AP billing and payment processes is an added advantage.
  5. SQL Experience: Experience with SQL is also an added advantage.
  6. Language Proficiency: The ability to read and write in English, as this role requires supporting both internal and external clients.
