About the Role

Career Horizons is seeking a highly motivated and seasoned Data Scientist to join our team in the financial planning analytics department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for acquiring a deep understanding of business problems and translating them into appropriate business solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop data science solutions, including algorithms and statistical predictive models to identify business challenges and opportunities.
  • Collaborate internally and externally to identify new and novel data sources and explore their potential use in developing practical business results.
  • Work with business partners using a collaborative, agile approach to identify possible business opportunities and devise the appropriate modeling approach or framework.
  • Develop mathematical, analytical, optimization, and artificial intelligence or machine learning models to support evidence-based decision making.
  • Examine, interpret, and report analytical results in both written reports and in oral presentations to varied audiences.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or any related field of study or a combination of education and equivalent experience.
  • At least 4 years of modeling working experience in a quantitative field such as Economics, Statistics, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, or work equivalence.
  • At least 4 years hands-on experience in any statistical, econometric, engineering analysis or modeling, large-scale optimizations, artificial intelligence, machine learning, data mining, and processing.
  • Proficient in some of the commonly used programming languages and software packages, such as Python, R, Spark, MATLAB, Scala, Java, etc., and/or data-warehouse & visualization tools such as Snowflake, QlikView, Qlik Sense, Power BI, Tableau, WebFOCUS.
