Project Leadership:

As the Senior Manager, you will be responsible for leading our fund accounting and reporting team through a significant transformation project. Your primary goal will be to successfully migrate fund accounting, valuation, and reporting functions from a service provider to an in-house team.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute the migration project to ensure a smooth transition of fund accounting, valuation, and reporting functions.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders and the service provider to transfer knowledge and processes, ensuring effective transfer of tools, systems, and procedures.
  • Lead and mentor a team of fund accounting and reporting professionals, ensuring their continuous growth and development.
  • Regular team meetings/discussions to provide updates, address challenges, and ensure alignment with department goals.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive team culture, promoting best practices and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and check the preparation and review of daily, monthly, and quarterly fund valuations, financial statements, and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS), and internal policies.
  • Liaise with auditor, tax agent, and other stakeholders to ensure accuracy and transparency in reporting.
  • Monitor cash management, portfolio valuations, and financial statements to ensure accuracy in reporting.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in fund accounting, valuation, and financial reporting, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing migration or transition projects, especially in fund accounting or similar functions.
  • Strong experience with investment funds, portfolio accounting, and financial statement preparation.
  • In-depth understanding of accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS), regulatory frameworks, and industry best practices.
  • Proven project management skills with the ability to lead projects, manage timelines, and drive results.
  • Leadership and team management experience, with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Expertise in valuation, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
