Regional Payroll Manager

The Senior Regional Payroll Specialist role at Gds Services involves managing regional payroll operations to ensure accurate and timely processing, compliance with local and international regulations, and proper handling of taxes and benefits.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Global Payroll Management:
- Oversee the payroll process for employees across multiple countries, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Manage payroll cycles, coordinate data input, verify payroll calculations, and ensure all payroll-related taxes, deductions, and contributions are accurately calculated and remitted on time.
- Ensure payroll policies and procedures comply with local, regional, and international tax and labor laws.
- Review and ensure the accuracy of employee compensation, bonuses, commissions, allowances, overtime, and other payroll-related data.
- Reconcile payroll accounts, ensuring proper records are kept for audits and internal reviews.
- End-to-end processing of entities' payroll. Ensure timely and accurate payment of salary to all staff.
- Monitor and manage employment income tax for multiple company locations, ensuring compliance with local and international tax laws.
- Prepare and file local tax returns on time, ensuring that all submissions meet deadlines and comply with relevant tax regulations.
- Liaise with external tax consultants and auditors to ensure correct interpretation of tax laws, advising management on payroll and employment-related tax implications.
- Monitor and adjust payroll processes in response to changes in tax rates, benefit regulations, or other legal requirements.
- Ensure accurate documentation and timely submissions for statutory filings.
- Maintain up-to-date records on employee payroll status and tax withholdings.
- Assist in payroll audits and support systems implementation and upgrades.
- Address and resolve discrepancies or errors in payroll information promptly.
- Administer employee benefits and deductions, including health insurance, retirement plans, and garnishments.
- Work with HR to ensure that employee benefits are updated correctly within the payroll system.
- Recommend process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency and accuracy.
- Stay updated on new payroll technologies, software, and best practices to improve payroll processing.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of payroll and employee information.
- Ensure payroll data accuracy, reviewing calculations for any discrepancies before finalizing.
