We operate multiple data centres within a designated cluster, ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of data centre infrastructure and upholding high standards of service delivery.

This role requires the ability to lead technical teams and manage 24/7 operations effectively.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of multiple data centres, ensuring all systems and infrastructure function optimally, and achieve 100% uptime and compliance with customers' SLAs.
  • Implement and maintain operational policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure data centre efficiency and reliability.
  • Manage incident response, troubleshooting, and resolution to minimize downtime and service disruptions.
  • Measure operational metrics, analyse data, and identify risks.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of operations and technical staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate with shift teams to ensure seamless 24/7 coverage and effective handovers between shifts.
  • Conduct regular training sessions and performance evaluations to enhance team capabilities and productivity.

Maintenance and Upgrades:

  • Plan and oversee preventative and corrective maintenance activities, ensuring all equipment and systems are serviced according to manufacturer and company standards.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for maintenance and upgrade projects, ensuring minimal impact on operations.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Ensure all data centre operations comply with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation and records to support compliance audits and certifications.
  • Ensure compliance with site-held accreditations, including ISMS, SOC2, and PCI DSS.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in data centre operations, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of data centre infrastructure, including power, cooling, and network systems.
  • Proven experience in managing technical teams and 24/7 operations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex operational challenges.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Certifications such as CDCP, CDCS, or similar are highly desirable.
