Job Overview
- Month-end closing and processing of all accounting journals - intercompany, prepayment, depreciation, provisions, accruals, etc.
- Reviewing of monthly reporting, cash forecast, and group KPIs to the Parent company.
- Monitoring cash flow and monthly intercompany payments.
- Completing/reviewing the monthly bank reconciliation and investigating any unusual items.
- Completing/reviewing monthly general ledger reconciliations and investigating any unusual items.
- Ensuring compliance to company policies and maintaining strong internal controls.
- Tax compliance - Service Tax, GST/VAT, Withholding Tax, Corporate Tax, Transfer Pricing.
- Reviewing of audit schedules and liaising with auditors.
- Finalizing Financial Reports and ensuring compliance in all statutory reporting.
- Participating and leading global projects.
- Managing direct reports, internal and external stakeholders.
- Overseeing day-to-day finance operations.
- Ensuring bank accounts are properly reconciled on a monthly basis.
- Monitoring cash flow, monthly cash report, and cash flow forecast.
- Reviewing and posting all accounting journals - intercompany, prepayment, depreciation, provisions, accruals, etc.
- Preparing monthly/quarterly/annual group financial results for submission to the Group.
- Reviewing of monthly group KPIs to the UK.
- Overseeing monthly intercompany payments.
- Reviewing monthly general ledger reconciliations.
- Overseeing local tax compliance in each country for the region.
- Liaising with auditors, bankers, and local government as required.
- Regular communication with stakeholders, both internal & external.
- Providing assistance to the Finance Directors and stakeholders as required.
Requirements
- Chartered Accountant/CPA is desirable.
- External audit experience.
- 5+ years experience as a Regional Financial Accountant in the APAC region.
- People leadership experience.
- Experience in doing the financial accounting for regional entities is desirable.
- Ability to communicate effectively with different stakeholders.
- Committed to deliver to service excellence.
- Strong MS Office and sound knowledge of Microsoft Outlook.
- Strong presentation and analytical skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organisational and time management skills.
