Job Summary:

The Assistant Manager, Account will be responsible for supporting the financial analysis and reporting functions within the organization. This includes preparing and reviewing monthly financial reports, tracking expenses and revenues, and coordinating financial inquiries among departments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare, review, and distribute monthly financial reports to stores and cost/profit centers
  • Expense Tracking: Track expenses and revenues vs. budget, re-forecast, and analyze fluctuations
  • Consolidation Reports: Prepare monthly consolidation reports and executive financial package
  • Financial Coordination: Coordinate financial questions/answers among stores and the Treasury and Accounting & Control departments
  • Annual Report: Prepare annual financial information binder to external auditors
  • Quarterly Reports: Prepare quarterly operating reports
  • Budget Assistance: Assist in the budget & re-forecasting process
  • Budget Maintenance: Maintain budget and re-forecast information in the accounting system
  • Efficiency Analysis: Evaluate profit and cost efficiencies in various areas of the organization as needed
  • Ad-hoc Reports: Develop, maintain, and distribute ad-hoc reports and financial models as required
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics required
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years experience in reporting, consolidation, and financial analysis
  • Accounting Knowledge: Accounting/GAAP knowledge
  • Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (emphasis on Excel & Access)
  • Personal Qualities: Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects; excellent communication skills; detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills; ability to work well with others in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Preferred Qualification: Candidates with experience in auditing are preferred
