Job Overview:

Sinergia Talents Sdn Bhd is seeking a seasoned Financial Operations Manager to oversee and manage Malaysia's financial operations. This role involves leading a team to ensure the efficient management of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, preferably with a degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a finance management and supervisory role is required. Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards, as well as GST regulations, is essential. The candidate must be proficient in financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong leadership and team management abilities are also necessary, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Management and Reporting:
    • Oversee and manage Malaysia's financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
    • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
    • Develop and implement effective financial strategies, policies, and procedures to streamline operations and improve profitability.
    • Conduct financial forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
    • Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (IFRS), industry regulations, and internal control policies.
  • Cost and Inventory Management:
    • Manage and monitor the cost of precious metals inventory, including tracking market prices and fluctuations.
    • Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimize inventory levels and minimize carrying costs.
    • Analyze and report on inventory valuation, turnover, and profitability.
    • Collaborate with procurement and production teams to ensure efficient inventory management and cost control.
  • Tax Reporting (Malaysia):
    • Preparation and submission of Tax.
    • Coordinate and facilitate tax reporting.
  • Risk Management:
    • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of internal controls and risk management policies.
  • Reporting and Compliance:
    • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, and regulatory bodies.
    • Maintain compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, such as environmental regulations and precious metals trading regulations.
    • Coordinate and facilitate external audits and regulatory inspections.

What We Offer:

A competitive salary range of RM150,000 - RM250,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus additional benefits such as health insurance and retirement plans.
