BASF Asia-Pacific Service Centre S/B is a regional service hub established in 2005 in Kuala Lumpur, providing quality functional and know-how services to BASF companies and affiliates in the Asia Pacific region.

The role of Accounts Payable Specialist involves providing support to deliver AP services to BASF companies in Asia Pacific, ensuring timelines and quality meet agreed service levels and targets. This includes coordinating, training and supporting analysts in performing payment process related functions, as well as assisting the Payment Manager in daily tasks and implementing project initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting Request fulfilment activities in planning and administration
  • Delivering automation efforts across teams to simplify work processes
  • Participating in improvement initiatives discussions to work on improvement plans and timelines
  • Assisting the team in tactical projects according to objectives
  • Administrative management and coordination of P2P initiatives and activities

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration, Linguistics or any related disciplines, with 2-5 years relevant work experience, including experience in ICR (intercompany reconciliation) and SAP knowledge.

A good team player with high level of maturity and independence is required, preferably with Korean language skills and AP related work experience. The successful candidate will be based at our Kuala Lumpur office and must be residents in Malaysia or have the right to work in Malaysia.
