About the Role
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for engaging and servicing a portfolio of larger SME customers of the branch. The primary objective is to achieve a desirable revenue growth target by cross-selling and up-selling various relevant business banking products that meet the customers' needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Revenue Growth – The Business Development Manager will be entrusted to ensure timely and effective follow-up and services to the Bank's key community banking customers. He or she is expected to contact and engage the bank's customers in accordance with the Bank's engagement policy to retain and grow the customer relationship and hence secure a larger wallet share of the customers.
- Relationship Building – The Business Development Manager is required to diligently obtain relevant information and ensure integrity is maintained at all times when dealing with the Bank's customers.
- Risk Management – He or she is expected at all times to perform his role and duties in accordance with the law, regulations, rules, and policies relating to all activities and conduct to ensure that we deliver acceptable and professional services to our valued business customers.
- Compliance & Audit – He or she is also expected to conform to the Bank's internal quality policies and requirements to ensure effectiveness and efficiency in carrying out his or her duties within the Bank.
- Work Quality – He or she is expected to maintain a high level of professionalism and integrity in all interactions with customers and colleagues.
Requirements
- Must have a minimum qualification of a recognized Diploma/Degree or equivalent. However, candidates who have been in SME Relationship Management for more than 1-2 years will also be considered favorably.
- Candidates are required to have a minimum of 2 years working experience in loan sales, account management, or relationship management, preferably in a financial institution or a service provider involved in consultancy, pharmacy, IT, logistics services, trading, and industrial products wholesale or retail.
Working Arrangements
The Business Development Manager will be based in Malaysia and will be responsible for servicing a portfolio of larger SME customers of the branch.
