Job Description:

The AITO Manager is a critical role responsible for developing, managing, and directing Anti-Illicit Trade (AIT) projects. This includes utilizing external service providers to conduct investigations, gathering and evaluating information on the illegal tobacco trade, and collaborating with national and international law enforcement organizations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and direct investigations through service providers, setting clear objectives and methodologies.
  • Identify, recruit, and manage service providers in accordance with legal requirements and company policies.
  • Gather, assess, and disseminate information to relevant law enforcement agencies or for internal use in risk management and business objectives.
  • Enhance and develop relationships with law enforcement, government agencies, and JTI markets.
  • Support local market and AITO regional teams in impacting the overall illicit trade and preventing diversion and smuggling of JTI genuine products.

Reporting and Communication:

  • Prepare detailed reports and updates on project progression and core objectives, including intelligence analysis and trend identification.
  • Presentation skills are required to explain AITO strategies and activities to various audiences within and outside the company.

Collaboration and Relationships:

  • Work closely with various functions and departments within JTI, such as CA&C, AITO, QA, IP, Sales, and Legal.
  • Maintain and develop excellent relationships within the company to support regional and market management and enhance AITO's reputation.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2nd-level education; a university degree in business, economics, law, or a related field is preferred.
  • Good report writing and computer skills are necessary; experience in investigative operations or similar experience in private industry is desirable.
  • At least 5 years of experience in conducting and managing investigations in public or private sectors or comparable business experience.
  • Fluency in English and second language proficiency (local dialect and Chinese) is required.
