We are seeking a skilled Financial Management Lead to oversee the financial functions at MHA Consultancy Services Sdn Bhd. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing cash flow and bank reconciliations, preparing and reviewing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.

This role requires strong attention to detail and analytical skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with fluency in written and spoken English and Mandarin. The ideal candidate will have 5 years of relevant experience, including 2 years in a managerial role leading a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage cash flow and bank reconciliations, ensuring financial transactions are properly documented and categorized.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
  • Assist in audit preparations, coordinate with external auditors when required, and address any audit-related queries to ensure smooth processes.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement within accounting workflows and internal controls, recommending solutions to streamline operations.
  • Lead initiatives to implement new tools or best practices, enhancing reporting accuracy and efficiency.
  • Work closely with other departments to gather and analyze financial data, supporting decision-making and budgeting.
  • Partner with finance leadership to address cross-department financial concerns and optimize resources.
  • Manage upwards by directly and/or indirectly reporting to the Managing Director and owner, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5 years of relevant experience, including 2 years in a managerial role leading a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with fluency in written and spoken English and Mandarin.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proven ability to identify and implement process improvements and develop SOPs within Finance.
  • Ability to work closely with senior management, including direct and indirect reporting to the Managing Director.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Professional certifications (CPA, CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent) are a plus.
  • Outgoing, hands-on, and well-mannered in communication with team members and other departments.
  • Adaptable to work in a young, and energetic team environment.
