The Fixed Asset Accountant role is responsible for maintaining and updating the fixed asset records. This includes ensuring the fixed asset register is updated monthly, considering all receipts, disposals, transfers, or write-offs of assets, calculating depreciation accordingly, and reconciling the fixed asset register to the general ledger monthly.

The successful candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will work closely with various stakeholders within the organization to ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Monitoring controls, procedures, and forms for the recordation of fixed assets.
  2. Providing recommendations for updates to accounting policies related to fixed assets.
  3. Tracking project costs into fixed asset accounts and ensuring closure once related projects are completed.
  4. Recording fixed asset acquisitions, dispositions, and depreciation in the SAP accounting system.
  5. Reconciling the balance in the fixed asset subsidiary ledger to BW/SAP Trial Balance, CRS, and BPC.
  6. Conducting IFRS16 and AUC analyses related to fixed assets for reporting to business.
  7. Preparing audit schedules relating to fixed assets and supporting auditor inquiries.
  8. Ensuring FA Period-end and Year-end Ledger Closing is completed in a timely manner as per Global KPIs.
  9. Managing multiple stakeholders within the organization.
  10. Verifying data accuracy for reporting purposes.
