About This Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accounting Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in accounting, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

The Senior Accounting Assistant will be responsible for:

  • Managing and maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, cash flow, and banking transactions.
  • Preparing and reviewing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including tax laws and accounting standards.
  • Performing financial analysis and providing recommendations to management on financial matters.
  • Liaising with external parties, including banks, auditors, and tax agents, as required.
  • Assisting in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, and monitoring and reporting on variances.
  • Developing and implementing processes to improve financial efficiency and reduce costs.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A degree in accounting or a related field, and/or a professional certification in accounting (e.g. CPA, CA).
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently, with attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong technical skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
