The Assistant Coffee Roaster will support the roaster in daily roasting operations, maintaining equipment, managing green bean inventory, and ensuring consistent quality control. This role is ideal for someone eager to deepen their knowledge of coffee roasting, possessing strong attention to detail, and a willingness to take on new challenges.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Assist in Coffee Roasting Process**:

- Support the Roaster in executing daily roasting activities.
- Prepare, monitor, and document roast profiles, adjusting settings when required.
- Maintain the desired quality and flavor profiles for each batch.
- **Green Bean Inventory Management**:

- Help receive, organize, and manage green coffee inventory.
- Monitor storage conditions and stock levels, reporting any discrepancies.
- **Quality Control**:

- Participate in cuppings and tastings to evaluate roast consistency.
- Report any defects or variations in roast quality.
- **Equipment Maintenance**:

- Assist in cleaning, maintaining, and troubleshooting roasting equipment.
- Ensure a clean, organized roasting area.
- **Record Keeping**:

- Maintain accurate roast logs, profiles, and inventory records.
- Track production data to ensure batch consistency.
- **Packaging and Shipping**:

- Assist in packaging roasted beans, labeling, and preparing shipments.
- Maintain packaging standards and efficiency.
- **Safety and Compliance**:

- Follow all safety protocols for handling roasting equipment.
- Adhere to hygiene standards and workplace regulations.

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- Strong attention to detail and eagerness to learn.
- Physical ability to handle heavy bags of coffee beans.
- Team-oriented mindset with good communication skills.
- Basic computer skills for record-keeping and inventory tracking.
- English proficiency is required.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,800.00 per month
